Yes, completely. No trial period, no credit card, no "upgrade to see full results." CostSave is free because every engineering team deserves full cost visibility without paying for it.

Yes. CostSave uses a read-only CloudFormation IAM role — it can list and describe resources but cannot create, modify, or delete anything. Your role ARN is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and never appears in API responses.

You provide a read-only API token with Account Analytics and Read permissions only. CostSave never requests write access. You can revoke the token from the Cloudflare dashboard at any time.

We store resource metadata (names, sizes, activity metrics) and billing data (monthly spend by service). We never access file contents, database rows, or application logs. See our Data & Security page for the full breakdown.

As often as you like. A typical AWS scan takes 2–5 minutes; Cloudflare scans finish in under a minute. Every scan pulls fresh live data directly from your account.

Yes. Remove an account in Settings and CostSave immediately stops scanning it. You can also permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Danger Zone in Settings.
